Abigail Stacy
Hello! My name is Abigail Stacy (that’s me on the right). I host Everyone Has Something (also known as EHS) with my friend Tyler! Each episode we have a set question that we ask our classmates, and then we share their responses and our own thoughts. I’m in band and I enjoy both playing and listening to music. My favorite podcast is definitely This American Life, but Serial is a close second. I’m very excited to produce a podcast, but I’m even more excited to do so with my friends!

Tyler Blair
"Ey my name's Tyler and I'm the co-host for Abigail's "Everyone Has Something" podcast. I'm really into video game stuff and I wanna try making content discussing and analysing games in the future. I figured that trying out Podcast Club would help me gain the skills to achieve that, or at least teach me how to use the technology to make that happen. I also joined Podcast Club to try and branch out and meet new people."

Our Advisors

I’m an English teacher at Edwardsville High School. I completed undergraduate coursework in Secondary English Education with additional licensure in Social Science, and I completed my graduate coursework with a Master of Arts in Curriculum Design and Instruction. Currently, I’m furthering my education at Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville. With a love for the digital arts and humanities, I serve as both a project team member for Conversation Toward a Brighter Future 2.0, a project in conjunction with SIUE and the Mannie Jackson Center for the Humanities, and an external advisor for the Interdisciplinary Research and Informatics Scholarship Center at SIUE. At EHS, I co-advise the EHS Tiger Yearbook program with Mrs. Amanda Thrun, and Tiger Talk, our podcasting club with Mrs. Nicole Pontious. With a love for podcasting, especially NPR’s Invisibilia, Serial, This American Life, S-Town, Wait Wait … Don’t Tell Me!, among several others, I invite my students to research and discuss the issues that are important to them in our community and world, using podcasting as a digital conversational tool to communicate and share ideas with one another and our community.
Nicole Pontious

I am an English teacher at Edwardsville High School. I graduated from SIUE with a bachelor’s degree in Speech Communications – Public Relations and went on to acquire a Master in the Art of Teaching – Secondary Education degree to pursue a career in teaching. Additionally, I completed my second master's degree through the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion program (formerly the Learning, Culture, and Society program) at SIUE. I absolutely LOVE teaching, and I get excited every single year to meet my new group of students. In addition to teaching, I am also the proud sponsor of the EHS Interact Club, which is a Rotary sponsored club focusing on serving the community and world. I am the co-sponsor of Tiger Talk, a podcasting club comprised of students who strive to examine and feature human stories that evolve from and impact our Tiger community. I am currently listening to Radiolab, Lore, and Criminal, but have enjoyed and remain open to listening to many others. I love podcasting because it is an inspiring, authentic, deliciously genuine way to listen to someone's story... and I cannot wait for you to hear ours.
